Club thanks departing coach

Chris with Werewolves team in Canada 2010

Sadly the training session on the 11th December was the last one for volunteer coach Chris Scroggie . Chris was presented with a momento signed by the parents and children at the club.

In a short ceremony, Mike Dwyer thanked Chris on behalf of the Werewolves for his dedication and commitment during the past 3 years as a volunteer coach.

Chris has been a regular and reliable coach who is very popular with the players and he also coached the team at the Annual Special Hockey International tournaments in Canada, helping to lead our team to victory in several games.

He’s also been an outstanding  fundraiser and promoter for the Werewolves including participating in the Great North Run for the cause.

The Werewolves are sad to say goodbye to Chris but wish him well with his studies in Switzerland. Mike also reminded the Werewolves players to take heed and learn from Chris’ example –  that if you don’t study hard when you are younger you may need to go back to school when you are older!

Good Luck Chris, we hope you’ll come back and visit us when you get the chance. We are very grateful for the time and effort you’ve given to the club.
