Tournament ends but smiles remain

Tournament ends

Mike Dwyer joins the Werewolves 1 and 2 teams on stage where they collected their tournament medals

The 18th Special Hockey International tournament finished on Thursday evening with a banquet at Butlins in Bognor Regis. Over 300 people attended the ceremony to collect their awards and celebrate each others achievements.

As hosts this year we are delighted to see so many players and families enjoying the sport and each others company and hope that the experience is one they will never forget.

Aside from the many people who helped put the tournament together and run it during the week, the biggest thanks goes to the players themselves, the coaches and their parents for their dedication and commitment to the tournament. There really was some great hockey and I hope all the players feel proud of their achievements.

For those of you who have not yet seen them yet, there are some tournament photos on our facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.375557879150263.81223.121166487922738&type=1&l=e8a061959

There is a whole page dedicated to the tournament which describes the impact the tournament has had on special hockey in the UK, has details of the events and matches and also there are hundreds of photos which capture what the tournament is all about. Check it out here
