Volunteers Needed

Volunteers needed!

We would like to reach out to parents and carers to help out in club activities.  We need your help, both on and off the ice!

The Werewolves of London Special Ice Hockey Club is run by volunteers who “make it all happen”.  Activities include fund-raising for the club, helping with club registrations and memberships, liaising with parents, safeguarding, developing club policies, managing hockey equipment and so on.  Volunteers meet several times a year to put together an action plan and then work to try to take that plan forward, either during training sessions or away from these.  Work is very much part-time in nature and is not a large commitment of time.

Volunteers benefit in some or all of the following:  gaining confidence, making a difference, meeting people, learning new skills, taking on a challenge, and having fun. Generally there is a heightened sense of satisfaction coming from Werewolves activities, knowing that the club is continuing and evolving partly due to your own efforts, as a volunteer.

We would like to hear from anyone wishing to make more of a contribution to the club.  If you are interested, please call the current Werewolves chairman, Stephen Wilson-Smith, on 07835 120 555, or send an email (stephen@werewolvesoflondon.org.uk).  If leaving a message, please make sure you give your contact details and feel free to express an interest in where you feel you could help.

“No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.”
