Werewolves receive National Lottery award!

Press release: We are delighted to share that we have received #NationalLottery funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for our project! Thank you to National Lottery players for helping #MakeAmazingHappen.

Founder Mike Dwyer responded: ” We are passionate about enabling children with special needs to learn to skate and play ice hockey from an early age because we know that early intervention results in better outcomes in later life. Our socially and ethnically diverse club brings children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs together to make friends; reduce social isolation; and develop social; communication and other skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. We also want to build on our success in recruiting new players so that even more children and adults with additional needs (e.g. Autism; ADHD; and Down Syndrome) can learn to skate and play non-contact ice hockey”

This funding from The National Lottery Community Fund presents a fantastic opportunity for the club to grow and provide more opportunities for children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs.
